Our standard private pay rate is $75-$ 125 per session. We are committed to making care as accessible as possible and offer income-based rates for those who qualify. Clients may apply for a sliding scale or reduced copay based on financial need.

Kind Connections provides in-person & virtual counseling for teens, adults and couples across Missouri. We support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, trauma, ADHD, and emotional overwhelm, as well as couples seeking support with communication, connection, and managing conflict.

Our clinicians offer affirming, inclusive care for all identities and nuero-types, creating a space where all can feel respected and supported. Care is tailored to each person’s unique needs, goals, and pace.

In-person sessions at Kind Connections take place in a calm, welcoming office environment where clients can connect with their therapist in a shared, supportive space. Meeting face-to-face allows for a natural flow of conversation and connection, while creating a comfortable setting to explore your experiences, goals, and personal growth.

Our current office is located at 1803 Sun Valley Drive, Suite A, Jefferson City, MO. We are temporarily sharing space with Mindful Expressions, so please look for their signage when you arrive.

*Street parking in front of the building is limited. If those spaces are full, you are welcome to use the parking lot located behind the building, which can be accessed via the driveway just before you reach the office.

When you arrive, you may enter the building, come on into Suite A and take a seat in the waiting area until your clinician greets you. Our goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and supported as you begin or continue your counseling journey.

Please note: This is a temporary location for Kind Connections. We look forward to welcoming clients to our permanent home at The Kind Collective: Counseling & Wellness Center in Jefferson City, MO beginning in Summer 2026. More details about this transition will be shared as the move approaches.

Virtual therapy at Kind Connections takes place through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform and allows you to attend sessions from a private, comfortable space of your choosing. Sessions are similar to in-person therapy, with the added flexibility and convenience of connecting from home or another location that feels safe and accessible to you.

Many clients find virtual therapy to be just as effective and sometimes even more comfortable, especially when balancing busy schedules, transportation challenges, or accessibility needs. All you need is a reliable internet connection and a quiet, private space where you feel at ease.

Your first session is a chance to slow down, ask questions, and begin building a comfortable connection with your therapist. We’ll spend time getting to know you, discussing what brought you to therapy, and exploring what you’re hoping to gain from counseling. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—you’re welcome to move at a pace that feels right for you.

Your therapist may ask questions to better understand your experiences and may offer gentle guidance or initial tools, if helpful. The first session is also an opportunity to see if the therapist feels like a good fit and to talk through next steps together.
